Private Dining in Helsinki: The White Room at Winest

The White Room is Winest’s private dining room in central Helsinki, a bright Rococo-style space for groups of 10 to 25 guests. Groups order Nadimi, our group menu, at €59 per person, or a pre-ordered menu set of the same value, and have their own server and their own music all evening.

The White Room is a cozy, bright and calm private dining space designed in Rococo style. It is separate from our main dining hall, so your group has the room to itself for the whole evening.

It is the right choice when you want to celebrate with the people who matter, without sharing the room with other tables. You can raise a toast, give a speech or simply talk late into the evening, at your own pace.

A room in Rococo style

Rococo is the 18th-century European style known for light colours, soft curves and graceful decorative detail. It was made for elegant social life: salons, dinners and long conversations.

That spirit suits the White Room well. The space is bright and calm, with an atmosphere that feels festive without being formal. It gives a birthday or a family dinner a sense of occasion, while your guests still feel relaxed and at ease.

What is included when you book the White Room

Your own private space

The room is reserved only for your group. There are no other guests at the next table, so you can talk, laugh and celebrate freely.

Your own music

Connect your favourite playlist to the room’s speaker and set the mood yourself. Choose quiet background music for a family dinner, or the songs your friends know by heart for a birthday party.

Your own server

A dedicated server looks after your table throughout the evening. Your guests are taken care of from start to finish, so you can focus on them instead of the service.

Nadimi: our group menu

Groups in the White Room order Nadimi, our group menu, at €59 per person. You can also choose a pre-ordered menu set of the same value per person.

The name has a meaning. In Georgian, nadimi means a feast. In Georgia, a feast is more than a meal: it is a long table, many shared dishes and an evening spent together. A group menu follows the same idea. Everyone at the table enjoys the same generous meal, and the host does not have to plan every order in advance.

How does group booking work?

The White Room is booked for groups only, and every group orders from the group menu. Booking takes three steps:

1. Check your group size. The room is for at least 10 and up to 25 guests.
2. Choose your menu. Your group orders Nadimi at €59 per person, or a pre-ordered menu set of the same value per person.
3. Send your request. Tell us your date, the number of guests, the occasion and your menu choice through our reservation page.

If your group is smaller than 10 people, you are welcome to book a table in our main dining hall.

Where is the White Room?

The White Room is inside Winest, in the historic Navigator House at Eteläinen Makasiinikatu 4 in central Helsinki, near Kasarmitori and Esplanadi. The building was completed in 1905 and was the headquarters of the shipping company Effoa from 1915 until the 1950s, which makes it a memorable setting for a celebration.
